It has long been customary to scold Russian cinema, and isolated films deserve praise, which are an exception to the rule.
In the first place, 3 things are always scolded: the script, directors and actors, with the latter usually getting the least.
Despite the frankly bad game and the unsuccessful choice of role, many actors still remain in demand and regularly appear in new films. Gradually, they become so popular that they are called the “best” and “hope of domestic cinema,” although in fact this is far from the case.
Today, let’s look at the top ten actors whose talent is clearly overrated.
10. Paulina Andreeva
Beloved and Muse of Fyodor Bondarchuk received her acting education at the Moscow Art Theater School, and later on she was even accepted into the Chekhov Moscow Theater. This suggests that Paulina is not self-taught, experienced acting teachers worked with her, but many viewers believe this with difficulty.
Having performed quite well in the Thaw series, she became less and less convincing in future works, especially against the backdrop of more talented colleagues. The series "Method", in which Andreeva played along with Konstantin Khabensky, is rightfully considered one of the best domestic products in the last 20 years (the second season will be released in the fall, by the way), and the only thing the series is blamed for is just Paulina’s character Andreeva.
9. Anastasia Zavorotnyuk
The actress, who in 2006 received the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, starred in several dozen films and series in rather diverse roles during her career.
Among her works, you can find typical melodramas, comedies, and even action films, but not a single image helped her get out of the role of the nanny Vicky from the sensational sitcom My Fair Nanny. Everyone has long accepted the fact that this role is a ceiling for Anastasia Zavorotnyuk, above which she will not jump.
8. Alexander Petrov
Perhaps the most popular actor in contemporary Russian cinema at first glance has solid virtues: charismatic, vibrant, energetic.
The problem is that he became a hostage to his energy, which created him a certain image in which he was stuck. “Policeman from Rublevka”, “The Law of the Stone Jungle”, “Attraction” - everywhere Petrov is exactly the same. This, incidentally, was noticed in an interview by Yuri Dud, but the actor categorically did not agree with the journalist’s arguments.
According to him, he plays completely different characters, with different characters and motivation. That's how it is, but this is not visible to the ordinary viewer, but the very same intonations, facial expressions, gestures, company mate and so on are perfectly noticeable.
7. Marina Alexandrova
Why is she entrusted with the roles of historical characters like Empress Catherine II or actress Valentina Sedova? This is a question that torments many viewers. According to most critics, Marina Aleksandrovna "does not pull" such works, because of which bad films suffer.
Nevertheless, at 36 years old she remains in demand (not least due to her marriage to the director of Channel One Andrei Boltenko), although she has not been noticed a professional growth for a long time.
6. Marat Basharov
The situation with Marat Basharov is controversial, since his talent cannot be denied. Everyone perfectly remembers his early roles in the films Voroshilovsky Shooter or Border. Taiga novel ”, which, even if desired, is difficult to complain about.
The problem is that in recent years he has turned from an actor into a TV presenter, and he is conducting dubious programs (which the Battle of Psychics is worth).
Accusations of beating his wife and regular lying to the interview also did not benefit him, so we can safely say that now there is little left of the actor in him.
5. Alexandra Bortich
This actress with Belarusian roots is only 24 years old, but on her account there are already more than a dozen roles. Every year she starred in at least 5 films, which despite the commercial success of great artistic value are not.
“A policeman from Rublevka” (where she plays the sister of the hero Alexander Petrov), “I am losing weight”, “Mistresses” are, of course, fun, but obviously not the ultimate dream.
It is noteworthy that Bortich does not have an acting education: she tried to enter the theater institute, but could not pass the competitive selection. For this, she is often criticized not only by the audience, but also by her colleagues, as not everyone loves self-taught people who are in great demand.
4. Dmitry Dyuzhev
Having become famous after filming in the "Brigade" and consolidating the success of the film "Zhmurki", Dyuzhev after that put a lot of effort to get out of the image of a bandit, but he did not succeed. ABOUT
He tried to try on comedy images as well as dramatic ones - everywhere he either lacked something or, on the contrary, he clearly replayed. If shooting in the continuation of "Burnt by the Sun" can still be forgiven for him, then "Pregnant" put a greasy stain on his career and reputation.
3. Lisa Boyarskaya
Apart from the role of Anna Karenina, the career of Elizabeth Boyarskaya is a series of identical characters, in which only the clothes and the background change. Convincingly acting out the drama and clumsily trying to joke, she only digs herself deeper, which does not prevent her from staying in demand and acting regularly.
One gets the impression that the recognition of an actor is more important to Russian directors than his ability to play.
2. Danila Kozlovsky
Once again, the same problem as most of the heroes in our collection is uniformity. Valery Kharlamov from Legend No. 17 and Maxim Andreev from Duhless turned out to be excellent characters, but the merit here is not Kozlovsky, but the high quality of the films themselves.
Nevertheless, now he is almost the face of our cinema, so he is even invited to appear abroad: he appeared in the Vikings (talking about the series from History) and McMafia from the BBC and AMC.
1. Svetlana Khodchenkova
To see our Russian actress with Hugh Jackman in the solo album Wolverine: Immortal was cool, but a little sad. Khodchenkova got an interesting character, which in the end turned out to be “about nothing” just through her fault. It was evident how faded she looked against the background of the rest, as if not understanding what they wanted from her at all.
It is not known whether she can make her way to Hollywood, but with us she is still one of the most sought after.
