In our century, the division of professions into female and male is most often a convention. Some modern women are not inferior in this strong half of humanity.
But still there are professions that are more suitable for men, because girls cannot work in extreme conditions, leave on demand, leaving their families and children.
10. The astronaut
In the early years of the development of astronautics, this profession was considered only male, but since 1963, women began to participate in space flights. Now there are not many who want to master this difficult profession.
To get into the cosmonaut squad is not so simple, you need to meet a number of requirements. During flights, a person experiences severe overload at the time of landing and take-off. It is also affected by the state of weightlessness, due to which the bones can become fragile and weak.
Those who have health problems may be denied because because of them, a mission can be frustrated. Cosmonauts choose only psychologically stable people who can easily adapt in confined spaces.
Therefore, there are not so many representatives of this profession, only about 572 people. Of these, only 62 are women, and this is not due to some physiological characteristics, but to the fact that many representatives of the fair half of humanity choose other professions, and some of those who would like to participate in flights are not suitable.
9. Polar explorer
Polar explorers measure the depth of the ocean, the temperature of the water, take it for analysis and do many other things. They work in harsh conditions. In Antarctica, the temperature in the winter months drops to -75 degrees. In summer, a little “warmer” - from -30 to -50 degrees.
For each exit to the street, they must report to the duty officer and do not have the right to leave the premises alone. The atmosphere here is very rare, it’s hard to breathe, like in the mountains. If you move fast and make sudden movements, you may feel dizzy. Even strong and strong guys get used to new conditions within 1-3 months.
Naturally, it is very difficult for girls to live in such conditions. Female polar explorers were, for example, Nina Demme. But this is the exception rather than the rule. We do not have many female researchers. In addition, applicants must have good health, be an experienced specialist.
Do not take women as a cook. He must feed from 20 to 40 people, and for this he needs to carry bags of food, carry huge pieces of meat from the warehouse. It is difficult for girls to cope with such loads, and men cannot be distracted from their main job.
8. Sailor
Traditionally, only men served in the Navy. It was believed that a woman on a ship could bring misfortune. Of course, much has changed now, women have become captains of ships (Lyudmila Tibryaeva), admirals (Michelle Howard), etc.
But still, we have not so many sailors. So, if there are about 1.25 million sailors in the world, then among them 1-2% are women. Their number is gradually growing, but sailors are mostly men.
7. Huntsman
There is such an interesting profession - huntsman. He is responsible for hunting, protecting animals listed in the Red Book, fighting poachers, etc. The duties of the huntsman include the establishment of feeders for animals, replenishment, shooting aggressive animals.
The huntsman is a non-female profession, because you have to spend almost all the time in the forest, encounter wild animals, fight with those who illegally hunt in the forest.
But even if a girl decides to lead such a secluded life, it will be difficult for her to start a family. Children must learn, i.e. attend school, they need to communicate with peers, and with such a profession it is almost impossible.
6. Miner
This is one of the most dangerous but necessary professions. An accident in a mine can take the lives of hundreds of people. Moreover, it is hard work, despite the widespread mechanization.
Many representatives of this profession suffer from chronic bronchitis, bursitis, they are diagnosed with many diseases associated with physical overload. Naturally, adolescents and women are not allowed to work in the mines.
Expectant mothers should not be exposed to such loads. But it was not always so. In the USSR, female labor began to be applied everywhere, because began the industrialization of the country. During the war years, instead of men, women descended into the faces, which accounted for up to 86% of the mining teams. They did not just do their job, but set records for mining.
Later, the government tried to abandon female labor in underground work, but this was only possible in 1966. Now mine surveyors or doctors are descending into the mine.
5. Diver
These are specialists who do not just go down under the water, but do the work, putting on a special diving suit.
This profession is considered especially harmful and difficult. Low temperatures, pressure increasing with the depth of immersion - all this is exhausting.
Divers say that after 1 hour of work underwater they get tired just like after a day of work on land. Under water, the chest of a person is greatly compressed, breathing is disturbed, people with poor health can die from such overloads. Therefore, the profession is considered masculine, but women can also work. Usually young people from 20 to 45 years old take divers.
4. Lifeguard
They are the first to come to the rescue in various accidents, catastrophes, explosions. They need an instant reaction and good basic knowledge, because in this case we are talking about life and death. Rescuers can also perform dangerous work, for example, remove chemical contaminants or rake up rubble. They are sports, they know how to handle special equipment.
Girls can also work in the Ministry of Emergencies, but more often as dispatchers. And the work of rescuers itself is not suitable for them because of the threat to life and great physical exertion.
3. The military
There are a number of military professions: engineer, pilots, signalmen, etc. They can be dangerous because the military is defending our country. There is a risk of serious injury or even death. The military can at any time be sent to the other end of the country, i.e. you have to forget about a calm, stable life.
Those who choose this profession require great willpower and endurance. Most often, these conditions attract men, but now there are women military, although once it was only a male profession.
2. Firefighter
This is a necessary but very dangerous profession. A firefighter may not return home from work, die, performing his duty. In our country there are several monuments that have been erected in honor of the exploits accomplished by the people of this profession.
Naturally, they try not to allow women to engage in such work, but there are still exceptions, for example, Petersburger Anna Shpenova.
1. Stuntman
They have to perform the most dangerous and difficult tricks. For the sake of filming, they are ready to jump from great heights, burn in the fire or participate in battles. And, most often, the names of the characters remain behind the scenes. Now there are many female stuntmen, but once it was a purely male profession.
